The Owner wanted to move a shoe store into an existing storefront. The time frame was compressed, since the operations had to move out from its original location in two months. The tenant wanted to link the shoe store at the front with the jewelry store at the back, but had to add stairs due to the change in levels and pass through the entry to the residences above.
Demolition work had started while permit documents were being finalized and approved. Portions of the existing structure were removed to construct the new stairs and flow through the residential entry. New storefronts and mechanical systems were installed. Basement storage areas were modified, bathrooms improved, and finishes and lighting upgraded.
